Due to this close bond between sock cuff and skin, we recommend that Hydrostop socks are only used outdoors and not for a prolonged period of time. Incorrect or prolonged use can result in excessive rubbing against the skin and may in a very small minority of cases cause minor skin irritation. The Hydrostop seal material has been fully tested to EN ISO 10993-5: 2009 and is OEKOTEX compliant.

  • Outer: OUTER: 90% Nylon, 10% Elastane
  • Membrane: Hydrophilic Membrane
  • Inner: INNER: 36% Merino Wool, 36% Acrylic, 18% Polyester, 5% Elastane, 4% Nylon, 1%TPU
  • Finer than traditional wool with tiny overlapping scales that case each fibre, these scales are hydrophobic (water repellent). Inside it's a different story, the fibre core is hydrophilic (highly absorbant). Merino is therefore a wicking fibre and can absorb and release 10 times more moisture than synthetics. Each fibre can absorb up to one third of its own weight in moisture without feeling clammy or wet to the touch. In our socks and gloves, the moisture is then wicked through the membrane to keep you feeling warm and dry

  • The perfect barrier between you and the most challenging wet weather. Our products are developed in such a way as to give 100% waterproof protection whilst being incredibly breathable and dexterous. Add in varying layers of insulation means we can offer waterproof products for all climates.

  • Our unique new technology gives you a much more secure fit between the top of the sock and your leg. Meaning the chance of water ingress through the top is reduced, enabling you to go out and stay out whatever the weather

  • Sock Length

The mid length is our staple sock which is perfect for all activities that require equal warmth, breathability and protection

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stay dry always I have been using these socks for playing golf in the winter months for years now and never have wet feet! excellent value for money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really do work !! Was super sceptical, had demo'd some in a camping shop in a bucket of water, yes hand was dry but still sceptical. As it turns out I now have 2 pairs because these are amazing, quite simply put, they do what they are supposed to, really really well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dry, but cold feet. Bought these socks for cycling on mud tracks. Whilst they have kept my feet dry, my feet have never been colder. I'm going back to wet feet! Three stars as the quality of sock appears to be good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good for heavy rain. In heavy rain conditions the socks fill up with water. In lighter conditions, they work as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Ocean Racing Waterproof All Weather Mid Length Sock with Hydrostop. Perfect to go under my deck trainers while racing around Sicily. Kept my feet dry and breathable without having to wear large sailing boots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from to short AND to large I have shoe size EUR 43, running shoes EUR 45 1/3. So I ordered Size Large (EUR 43-46). The problem is that size Large is about 2cm to short from toes to heel, but to large around the foot. The result is a combination of pain at the toes and pleats around the middle of the foot. The quality looks good. Sent them back, don't know if they are real waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm I’ve been using these for offshore sailing and have had dry feet since buying them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feet were dry! Wore my new Sealskinz socks for the first time this morning in a wet, blustery 5 degree celcius day. Did an 86 km loop. My feet were comfy and protected from the wind the whole ride. And when I peeled them off at the end...they were dry. Great product! -KP

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hydrostop is bad for your skin The hydrostop material causes blisters after contact with the skin for more than a few hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love Them! I'm a returning customer, even though they are expensive, especially to get them delivered to New Zealand, it is worth it - these socks are the best. Great service and products just as described. Thanks so much :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hydrostop caused me lots of problems I bought these socks because I have had found Sealskinz socks to be high quality and reliable. The socks themselves are good EXCEPT for the Hydrostop feature. After wearing the socks 2-3 times (wish washes in between) I developed skin irritation and blistering due to the adhesive material of the Hydrostop feature damaging my skin. This was my first experience with Hydrostop and it caused me skin problems so I cannot recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving them! These are perfect for hiking on winter and spring trails because I can wear a lighter hiking shoe and not worry about my feet being wet and cold. I am looking forward to wearing these canoe tripping on muddy portages and in my boots when fly fishing. I can also fit a light wool hiking sock inside for extra warmth. I'm really enjoying these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really good. Great quality. I bought these to replace a pair I had for years that finally fell to bits in the wash. I have used mostly on the bike but also during walking holidays. They are snug warm and the new ones are fully waterproof. The silicone gripper on the top of the sock sometimes grabs the skin a bit but so far haven’t let a drop of water in. The yellow flash on the back of the sock is a nice touch. I really recommend them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not thin, but are waterproof! Yesterday, I had the chance to test these socks in properly wet road conditions. My normal summer cycling shoes were drenched through, as were the outsides of the socks: after peeling off the not thin socks (‘thin’ is a misnomer), my feet were both warm and dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Style and quality. superbly waterproof, tested them out under a tap for five minutes without any leaks. Could be warmer though, need under socks on winter rides

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it says on the box I bught these as a Birthday Present for my son which was a fortnight ago. He has already given them 3 outings which were very successful

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They are really waterproof! Bought them for hiking trip in Iceland, great socks, warm and waterproof. Only thing I got was a little rash at my legs legs from the sealing of the socks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hydrostop caused blisters I used these socks for a week in the Outer Hebrides. They did what they were supposed to in that they were warm and dried out quickly after rain, but the Hydrostop caused blisters on both my legs where they rubbed again my mid-calf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm I had to give up my winter cycling boots because I switched pedals. So, I had to ride in shoe covers, which just never seem to do the job. So, I decided I would try warm socks. Had a very old pair of SealSkinz socks and they worked. So, I needed to get a couple of new pairs. These work great. Fit comfortably. Keep feet nice and warm without turning toes into wrinkly raisins. The cycling cap is good, but a bit thick under a helmet. The gloves, on the other hand (well, both hands), just don't work: freezing fingertips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really warm I have used these on three cold rides so far (2 to 4 C) and my feet have been nice and warm even though I was wearing my summer cycling shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome socks! I bought these for use on my motorcycle in the rain. I used them at work, standing on a roof covered in melting snow for 6 hours. At the end of the day, my boots were soaked, bit my feet were perfectly dry. I'll be buying another pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Indeed waterproof I use these when it rains. It rains a heck of a lot around here and we have these rainforests to prove it. Anyway the sock in my honest opinion is a little thick to call a thin sock. However, when compared to most any waterproof sock it is I suppose thinner. This saves me when it snows or gets below 36 and rainy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really work I bought these when my fiancé sent me a link I thought they would be great for fishing in the cooler months but it snowed here and I used them as a layer in my boots (AWESOME) feet dry

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great product. i used it out at sea, and i found it useful. my feet were dry. on the oth4r side, i found they were cold. so i guess i have to use some other socks over them or under them. but they are actually waterproof!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent addition to the wardrobe After years using the mid-weight model from Sealsinz, the thin fills a gap. While not as thin as I'd hoped, they nevertheless easily fit into my Giro Empire SLX road shoes, which is what I was hoping for. The gripper/sealing material at the top of each cuff is a good addition, though I can't yet attest to whether it will keep water from running in. I tend to duct tape the cuffs to my legs when concerned about them filling with cold water; testing will be required. For cold, wet riding without lots of rain coming down, however, the socks have performed great in cyclocross, and I am very happy with them. I expect many years of service from them, like my other pairs.
